How do you deal with Korazon deflection? It just kills me and shields don't deflect them. Is he going to fix that?

Is he going to fix that? idea 1: don’t use korazons. myrm doesn’t and it works. idea 2: counterdeflection. use shielded units of your own to deflect shots that are being deflected. takes a lot of maintenance and effort but it can work. idea 3: Shieldbreakers. Use zakanas or those grand blasters to disable shields before your Korazons have their shots deflected. doesn’t work much, can at best only help a little so you need to combine with with idea 2 if you want to use Korazon.

Hey thanks for all the suggestions. Made some changes with the next update, still working on further changes. I really like the two base slots idea, will work on implementing this if people want it! Still thinking about the vulnerability debuff idea. No new balancing in the next update, still testing this.

Darkness Barrier fix: It's been bothering me for a while now, so I'm going to suggest some fixes for Darkness Barrier. I think it doesn't live up to it's expectations as an "Ultra Rare", and right now acts as a glorified Tytan Barrier (just without the shield). I'm pretty sure I've even seen it killed while in heal mode.
First fix: Price. I have about 1,000,000 gold right now. I've tried fully upgrading the Darkness Barrier, and have come up a few hundred thousand short. The full price of the Darkness Barrier from 0 to max upgrades should be about 1.5 millions gold. That's just way too much for anyone, and it's on a single unit too. I think the target price for a full upgrade should be about 500,000 MAX. That's still a terrifyingly high amount of money. Ideally, it should be about 300,000.
Second fix: Healing. I don't think the heal works very well. It has too many tiers, it's way too expensive, and it's underwhelming. I suggest that it's changed to a different unique upgrade, "Undeath" - basically, the Darkness Barrier's health bar can not drop below 1 for 7.5 seconds, and then fully heals at the end of it's duration. It's a simpler mechanic than getting hit and healing. Make it cheaper (maybe even single-tier) and it should make the Barrier much more consistent.
Third fix: Insta-Death. Insta-death is a lame mechanic. It takes too long to kill, and is based purely off of luck and chance. Just change it to a chance to apply the darkness debuff when hit. It's literally called "Darkness Barrier".
Final fix: At the start of each PVP match, let the Darkness Barrier start in its healing/invincibility mode. That way it won't just die in the first second of combat.

While I think the unit exp gain from taking damage is good enough, I feel that the exp gain from damaging enemies should be increased, especially since deliberately dragging units to take damage is sometimes the only way to rank up weaker units without having to spend 50+ levels leveling them to Rank VII. It took around more than 100 levels for one of my Zakanas to fully rank up sitting in my base and not taking (or dealing) a lot of damage; meanwhile, another one got to Rank VII in about 10 levels simply because it ate reflected Korazon shots. Because making units take damage is such a tedious process (moving them out and using Healing Wave when they get low on health), it would be nice if all of the damage-dealing units rank up at a decent rate (probably at least half as fast as barrier units) by actually trying to kill enemies, not by acting as part-time barriers.

I fully agree with the first fix, and I will look into the second to see whats going on, it should not be possible for a Darkness Barrier to be killed in heal mode. I will look into insta-death as well, not sure about changing any of the upgrades just yet, will try to re-balance them first!

What about adding more special things to X ranked units? Like maybe giving it a change to have multistorey/status effects/major fire rate increase? I've been looking between my X ranked units and my normal units and there isint too much of a noticable difference...(in nexxon phasors at least)
What are your plans for adding more content? And something to think about, putting the game on steam for free would bring some exposure, free games on steam are always given a shot, and once people find how good the game is they start talking about it and then free advertising

And something to think about, putting the game on steam for free would bring some exposure, free games on steam are always given a shot, and once people find how good the game is they start talking about it and then free advertising Rank X should increase fire rate and HP, I will look into this though. As for adding content, I'm working on adding more Rank VII upgrades to units, and I have a new Bonus Content level in the works. As for adding it on Steam, that is a great idea! It will take some time though, since I need to rework a lot of UI elements for a wide screen format.

I have a possible solution to the still glitchy arena placement. Instead of placing the base based on where units are place them also on how much units are there. Like get two points for the bases and then place them on these points so that every turret of one base has the smallest possible distance to this central point. This would prevent bases to spawn oddly if only a few units are far away cause these few units wouldn't matter as much as the rest of the base.
