Just wanted to talk about the new update and how to work around it... didn’t know where to put this so I just made a new thread. ANYWAYS! This is definitely the biggest update for the mobile version so far (iOS at least, I don’t have android). Biggest of all is the Korazon nerf. Now it can be deflected by shields, so make sure to carry a Thor or a few Titan Barriers out in the front. Since Korazon is now your biggest weakness in Arena, I’m wondering if maybe we can have a unit sell value so that people can rebound faster when losing all their hard work. I’m still testing the new Aries and Lightbringer damage, will get back to that.

So is the korazon shield change supposed to be this dramatic? I instantly kill my own base the second a shielded enemy shows up.

The Korazon is completely overpowered in it's damage and utility. Consider it a high-risk, high-reward turret. I'm revamping my base to include double or tripled my barriers, and doubled the healing. While it cuts my offense heavily, keep in mind that only about 5 Korazons are required to take down a high-level arena base.

I mean korazons are completely worthless now. Worse than worthless since they just kill your own base. Should I delete them all or will there be update to make them not gamebreakingly bad?

I can try changing the Korazon's targeting AI to attempt to avoid shielded enemies when possible in the next update!

I can try changing the Korazon's targeting AI to attempt to avoid shielded enemies when possible in the next update! Still wouldn't be enough. Why use them when they instantly destroy my own base? That drawback is so huge. How about make the reflected shots not do dmg to your own base? That way korazon still have a weakness, but it is not so punishing.

I will do some further testing myself, and I'll post the details of the update!

Korazon is hardly worthless. 90% of my damage basis is centered around Korazons, and I top arena with an 100% win rate (when modifying my base for arena battles). The issue is that Korazon is actually insanely powerful. You just need to focus more on anti-debuffs and healing... more example, I run 17 defensive units (20 of counting ZAC Assimilators) and 10 healing units. Every time an attack is reflected, I can counter it. I think the change should be in Titan Barriers... if they have 100% chance to negate debuffs, people would play them more, and they counter Korazon.

New Update! Time to discuss. First, some prevalent issues: Neg-Voider's range is not effected by any range bonuses, like Chargor. While I get why Chargor's range is locked, I don't think Neg-Voider's should be. Chargor can recursively increase range, and eventually a few Chargors could make everything have global range, but Neg-Voiders are just a healing/cleansing unit. Second, Evolved Units aren't nearly different enough from their non-evolved forms. The good evolved units, LightBringer and Galaxy Turret, both differ a lot from their non-evolved forms, and that's why they're strong. The issue lies with Titan Barriers and X-Zac Assimilators - their statistics and abilities are barely changed at all, seemingly no difference from just leveling up 1 time. Third, I'm noticing a significant amount of crescent healing - that is, when you use Healing Wave, it doesn't actually make a full circle. Just a few crescents in one direction (note: can be any crescents, they just have to be connected... the wave can be as full as 80% of the full circle, or be as low as to only have 1 or 2 crescents). Fourth: the Aries Exploit is still unfixed. I tested it on an Aries that dropped on Tesire last night, and it worked perfectly. Next, onto actual changes. As I play more matches, I'm noticing a fat decrease in my base's power level. The Korazon nerf has well and truly struck hard. I'm being forced to play insanely defensive and even then I still have gaps to fill. My advice for now is to switch over to Nyon Exists (keep rare units like Tesla and Aries and LightBringer). Spam Chargors for health bonus as the Korazon's is lost, I would advise at least 10 of them. If myrm posts a screenshot of his base, make sure to check it out. I don't know about his success in non-arena though. Make sure to keep a few Titan Barriers out in front to deflect possible Korazon players. Don't invest into Darkness Barrier. It still costs way too much to be good at all, and gets bypassed by Korazon. Last of all, props to myrm. He's willing to experiment with new attack structures and change the meta. My rank is going lower and lower because of him D:

Should I delete all my maxed out korazons? Or will they be changed again As of now (I can't account for later patches), I would say delete them unless you're willing to invest a ton into healing a defense.

What's best way to get rare units? I've only gotten 2 Tesla and 1 lightbringer and have not gotten anything since after 50 or so runs on insane, all last 6 levels. I use 5 or so tech centers.

Also can someone explain how walls work? Why do some units just shoot right past walls and snipe my towers. Do I need to use walls with shields? Double layer wall? Place towers father away from walls?
